Giving

All children have the right to thrive in a safe, stable and loving family. We are grateful for community and individual involvement towards these efforts. Visit Volunteer or Foster Adopt to learn more on how to help in these ways.

PROGRAMS, FUNDS & NEW GIFT IN KIND

Although our core services are 100% government funded, we rely on donations from corporations, organizations and individuals to offer additional support not provided elsewhere for children and youth not in care and served by our agency.

Activities, prevention programs and educational support reduce the incidence of child abuse and neglect, and the need to come into CAS care. Through special funds and programs, children and youth are able to enjoy and experience the things that many of us take for granted.

Annual Holiday Giving Program: This program is for children and youth ages infant to 18 who are receiving services from our agency in the community and are not in care.

2021: We are planning to run our Holiday Giving Program with gift cards in the same way as last year for the safety of all involved. WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING TOYS. Walmart cards can be donated or a financial contribution towards the Society's purchase of cards. Distribution will be at the end of Nov. and early December to provide enough time to shop. The program served 670 families and 1,360 children in 2020.  Click here for donations online.

Bright Futures Bursary Fund - A program that awards bursaries to youth in care to support their post-secondary education.

Emergency Fund - A crisis support fund when other resources have been exhausted to assist families in times of great need including food, clothing and basic needs.
