Through our Agency:

The Children's Aid Society of London and Middlesex will provide non-identifying information from our records to qualifying adult adopted persons, adoptive parents, birth parents, birth grandparents, birth siblings, birth aunts/uncles as well as to former Crown Wards. If you know that the adoption was conducted by Children’s Aid Society of London and Middlesex and you wish to receive non-identifying information, please contact the agency directly at [email protected] or 519-455-9000, ask for Adoption Disclosure. 

Through Service Ontario:

Adoptees and their birth relatives can review further options to search for adoption records by contacting the Ministry of Community and Social Services at Service Ontario or call Service Ontario toll free at 1-800-461-2156. Some additional services include requests for identifying information, registering for a reunion, obtaining a copy of adoption order, filing a disclosure veto, indicating contact preference and requesting Severe Medical Search.

Part X Legislation (Personal Information):

In the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, Part X (10) sets out a legislative privacy framework for Ontario’s child and youth sector. It came into effect on January 1, 2020 and established new rules for the collection, use, and disclosure of, and access to, personal information held by ministry-funded and licensed service providers.
